Board Members Sought For Dynamic Health Care Facility

Riverview Health Centre is celebrating 19 years of service in its facility. When the doors opened to this world class centre, patients, residents, families, staff members and Winnipeg’s health care community were introduced to a unique healing environment. Located on the banks of the Red River not far from the heart of the City, the Centre’s goal was to provide exemplary medical and rehabilitative care in an environment where patients feel at home. Riverview sought to incorporate patient focused care with progressive programming.

Making Quality of Life a Priority

Riverview Health Centre has built on these goals, and today continues to provide leading edge health care for stroke, acquired brain injury, Alzheimer disease, chronic illness, respiratory disorders and specialized geriatric needs. The Centre also conducts research. Here, clinical investigation takes place in four key areas: aging, chronic and/or progressive illnesses, such as Alzheimer disease; rehabilitation and care of the chronically ill; and palliative care.

The Centre requires talented and energetic individuals who want to make a major contribution to health care in Manitoba. The 15-member volunteer board of Directors sets policy for the Centre, positively impacting the lives of those who need rehabilitation or long term care.

Those interested in becoming one of a limited number of new board members from the citizens of Winnipeg are encouraged to submit their cover letter and resume by July 29, 2016 to:
